What is Endocrinology?

Endocrinology is the medical art of balancing your body’s hormone levels.

What are hormones?

Hormones are chemicals that are secreted from the body’s various organs and facilitate the communication between the organs.

Why can’t I lose weight?

The metabolism is different for each person. Some people burn food more easily than others, while diet and exercise also play a role, along with a wide variety of other factors.

Why am I cold all the time?

Thyroid hormone regulates your body temperature, so any problem with your thyroid may cause changes in body temperature.

How can I prevent diabetes, if it runs in my family?

A healthy diet and exercise can delay the onset of diabetes and may prevent it.

How would I know if I am going through menopause?

Certain hormone levels can be measured in the blood to determine the status of menopause.

Should I take hormone replacement?

Why did I get depressed after I delivered my baby?

Women’s bodies go through significant hormonal changes after delivery, and sometimes these changes can lead to depression. ?Thyroid disease is?a very common cause, and post-natal depression could be related to a thyroid problem.

Why Do I have mental fog?

Blood sugar fluctuation, low thyroid hormone levels, menopause, and Vitamin D Deficiency could cause mental fog.

Why is my period irregular?

Is testosterone good for aging?

Testosterone levels decrease normally with age. Replacement is necessary for some people, but not everyone. The risks and benefits need to be weighed carefully to ensure treatment is appropriate.

How can I relieve hot flashes?

Is decline in sexual activity normal with age?
